Stratcom supports a charity called Straight Ahead, and we were involved in their celebration and fundraising ball last Saturday, 19th May.  400 guests attended the ball at Dublin’s Clayton Burlington Road Hotel. Guests were greeted by a prosecco reception, The Dublin String Quartet and magician Rob Hackett

Sharon ni Bheolain presided over the evening, and a few hard bargains were driven in the auction by Keith Lowe, CEO of DNG.The Singing Waiters got everyone singing, while Spring Break – the Ultimate 80s band which played at the 40th birthday of Michael Fassbender – had everyone up and dancing (even some onstage!).

 Fantastic auction lots included a 3 Michelin star chef creating a unique dinner in one lucky bidder’s home, a holiday in Capetown, a chance to attend the 6 Nations Press Conference in London and a Family Get Away for 10 at The Johnstown Estate.

 The superb night was an opportunity to thank everyone involved – particularly the tireless fundraisers around the country and especially the fundraising crew from The Laurels Pub in Clondalkin. While the event was conceived of and run by the Straight Ahead committee of Chairman Shane Holland and members Lorna McAuliffe, Michaela Holland, Deirdre McDonnell and Catherine Logan, Verve Marketing donated their services for free. Their contribution resulted in the room looking amazing and the event running professionally and without hiccup.  Big thanks to everyone who donated prizes and supported the evening that helped to create such a special – and successful – night.
